Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with the storm RDX This is my second crossbow and i love it. The Acudraw cocking system works great and is the envy of my hunting partners with Barnett cocking system. It's easy to use and stores nicely. I also love the fact that the bow limbs do not stick out so far as to catch every branch and limb while walking threw the woods like my other crossbow did. It's very quiet and accurate to shoot. I would strongly recommend this crossbow to anyone thinking of getting one. In my opinion you can't go wrong ! I have a funny feeling that i may have to buy another freezer before hunting season is over this year LOL

Thank you Michelle, thank you Tenpoint. Sebastian (Ga)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love everything about the Horton Storm RDX The first time I pulled the trigger on this Bow, I was hooked! Fast, well balanced, light, and incredible knockdown power. Sighting this in called for me to have to walk the 20 yards to stand my Hurricane Target Bag back up after every shot. (a real pain but I needed the exercise). I an not crazy about the fact that you can't use any product, (bolts, lighted nocs, etc. that is not made by Horton/Ten Point exclusively for this bow. Also, I am not crazy about the quiver. It needs to hold more than 3 bolts. And I also don't like where it is located. I would rather have it on the front of the bow like it's predecessor the Havoc. But the bow is incredible and I can't wait for season to start back up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horton Strom I hunt with a crossbow out of necessary. This is the second Horton crossbow I have owned. The Storm is a good weight and balance. I really like the anti-dry fire protection and acu draw feature. The action is smooth and it is quiet. My only dislike is the side mounted quiver (vertical) . Walking in with a backpack on, the bolts are in the way, no matter which side I carried the bow. Moving the quiver to the up of the bow, (horizontal) mount is the ticket. The quiver is up, out of the way and much more manageable, not banging arm against the end of the bolts going through the woods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bow for the money I have owned and used serveral crossbows for hunting and target shooting including: barnett ghost 350, barnett vengeance, barnett razr, tenpoint vapor and most recently the Storm Rdx with accudraw. The advantages of this bow over all others are: - Compacto size: very good for hunting in close quarters. - Adjustable stock: you have instant eye releif and focus with any scope. - Weight Distribution: very accurate shooting when standing or kneeling. No more tired arms when you hold the shooting position. - Less noise Due to the brush, no need to setup arrow detention spring when changing arrow types. - Omi nocks (Vapor uses them ass well) - Very little maintenance, only requieres wax and oil every 75 shots, compared to every 5 or 10 shots on other brands. Would highly recommend using the accudraw version which allows cocking the Bow correctly every time even when sitting. Upgrading the scope to a range master pro with HHA optimizer o Vortex XBR would be highly recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money! I bought the bow brand new last year from Dunham's (2015) shot it roughly 10 times and the string broke. Had to send it back to Horton missed bow hunting for 2015. Took the crossbow out for 2016 shot it 20 times and the string broke again. Do not recommend buying. If you cant target practice and shoot the bow more than twenty times before having to fix the bow its not worth it in my mind. Now I'm stuck with a $1000 dollar Crossbow I cant trust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 6th crossbow and is the best! I hunt with bow for the last 8 years. I love crossbow. I review it for a forum and it's my principal hunt for deer. In hunting situation in the few year of my experience, the weight, pound and balance is the most significative point. The speed an accuracy of this crossbow is exeptionnal! My best bow ever! I have posseid a Excalibur, Horton Legend 175, Blitz 150, Stryker Desert 390, Carbon Express SLS... The best bow for trigger, speed, accuracy, sound and vibration!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Storm RDX Friend of mine bought this bow after a lot of research and I had the privilege of being the one who got to set it up. Neither one of us has used a crossbow (I have bowhunted with a compound for 35 years) and all I can say is WOW!!! What a blast to shoot! I've already broke two of his three bolts shooting at one spot on the target seeing how good it groups. Accuracy from 20, 30, 40 and fifty yards is outstanding! Can't wait to see him use it for Javelina in Arizona.

I'm looking at the storm with the ten point scope.  Is that scope tuned with the bow (370 fps) to accurately hit at 20, 30,40 yds etc. or will I have to adjust my yards to have each dot be accurate?

Asked by: Paragonrun
Yes, it will be accurate at 20, 30 and 40 as long as you sight the bow in per the instructions. That bow is on the top end of the scope range and have had people also sight in at 25, 35 and 45.

While fine tuning the bow after approx 15 shots the bow has locked in the cocked position and will not fire with the safety off and bolt in. Upon on inspection a black small flat split plastic disc fell out broke in two.  Is this packaging? How 2 release

I bought a storm model 2 weeks ago. I adjusted my scope at 30 yrd and when I shout at 40 yrd I always shout about 4 to 5 inches higher. Why?

Asked by: Denis
It sounds like your bow is shooting a little fast. If you sight the middle cross hair in at 35 yards, you should be good at all three crosshairs at about 25, 35 and 45 yards.

where can I find a hard bow case for the storm

Asked by: cag1
The only real hard case for the RDX bows is the Manta case from Plano. Most major retailers will have that case.

Is the there a hard travel case for the Storm RDX suitable to suit airplane travel? If so how much?

Asked by: Patrick
The Plano Manta case is the only one I am aware of that will fit a reverse draw crossbow. Personally, you are best off to ship it in the box it came in and do some minor reassembly on location.

I don't want either of the scopes offered in your packages. Can you include the scope of my choice in a package with an adjusted price? If not, can I buy a Storm RDX with an ACUdraw cocker and mount rail only?

Asked by: blumpy61
The Storm comes with either the 4X scope or the 3X Proview as a complete package. We do not sell the bow without a scope. If you are looking for a different scope, you may want to check with your local independent dealer (not a chain store). They may be able to switch for you at the store level.

I need sight pins for my storm to hunt elk in colorado. do you have them.

Asked by: nud 425
The Storm will not take peep and pins. In Colorado, I believe you can use a red dot scope or a 1x scope, so I would check those options. There is a nice 1x scope from Vortex called the Crossfire II that I have had customers use. Check with your local sporting goods store, they should be able to help. Take the bow with you so you can check fit.
